1 Thing Cops know but Don't Admit

1 Thing Cops know but Don't Admit

If there is one thing I've learned from all my years in the military and law enforcement is that must accumulate skills that transfer outside of our time in uniform. Ok ok, in the podcast I go on a rant on why I want police officers to pull the trigger on preparing themselves for life outside of law enforcement.

The truth is we can't wait to the last minute to make plans. In this Off Duty Pursuits episode I offer some advice and tips for any fellow LEO that needs help taking action on their ideas.

It's never too late to take action.

I could be wrong, but I think many of us have side jobs to make ends meet. I think also that many of us have other interests that we are trying to pursue or eventually pursue in the future. So I agree with the sentiment Josh.

Great podcast! I understand all too well what you are talking about. I retired 6 years ago from a State Police Department after a 25 year career. I haven’t been able to find a job. I’m still relatively young, but I can seem to find anything that gives me the same satisfaction that being a Trooper did. I wish that someone would have said this to me years ago, I thought I would never retire and didn’t need to have a plan B. Hopefully some of the younger officers will heed your advise.

Great content! You speak from the heart and share truth with us all. As a LEO wife I appreciate this more than you know. It’s great to know we have a community of people who we can relate so well with. Also, my husband and I loveee Blue Angel Coffee. Quality and rich tasting coffee. Unlike any other.
